How to Set Up Menus

Menus are typically used for stores that have many items that don't scan, which requires many product buttons to be on the POS.

This guide already assumes you have added all items from your menu as products in the back office. If you need help with creating the products to place in your menu, please refer to the other following articles:

Navigate to the Store Management section of the back office and access the Registers tab.

Select the Menu Management button at the top of the page.

On the top right select the + New Menu button.

The Menu Editor page should open. In the Name text box, write the name of the menu, such as Food. Using the Menu Type dropdown bar select the applicable menu:

  1. Single Select - When you select a product, the menu will close afterward.

  2. Multi Select Menu - You can select any number of items multiple times, and the menu will not close until you choose to close it.

  3. Menu Chain - This menu type is typically used with multiple single select menus. It allows you to combine menus back to back so that when you select an item (or items) from one menu, it will then send you to another menu.

Scroll down to see two buttons on the bottom right-hand side, the Product button and the Unused button.

Select the Product button and drag it to up the desired location on the unused button table. Once dropped into place, a menu should appear.

In the Configure Button menu, go to the Select a Product text box and search the name of the product you want to add to your menu or input the full SKU as it is in the back office. In addition, you can change the color of the button to be whatever you want.

Repeat the previous steps to add more products to the menu. Once all the desired products are in the menu, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Save Changes button.

Now that you have created your menu we will add it to our register. Go to the Registers section of Store Management, locate your register, and click Configure.

You will be brought to your Touch Screen Configuration screen. Drag and drop a Menu button to any location you would like on the screen. Click Save Button and you will now see that menu button has been added to your POS touchscreen.

When you have finished adding your menus and configuring your POS touchscreen, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save Changes. This will now transmit all register configuration changes directly to your SuperSonic POS.
