To start, go to the Departments page of Store Management. Either select an existing department to edit or create a new one. You can name the department anything, but ensure the Minimum Age is set to 21 in the Basic tab. When you're done

After setting up the age restriction for the department, we now need to require ID scanning for age verification. To do this, go to the Registers page of Store Management. Select the configure button for your POS system and navigate to the Functionality tab and the Operations dropdown. Here you can enable the Force ID Scan for Age Validation checkbox. Once done, select the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen and repeat for any additional registers that might need this configuration if you have multiple.

Next, we must configure the promotions to restrict the quantity of JUUL products that can be purchased in a single transaction. To do this, go to the Promotions page of Store Management. Select the New Promotional Product Lists button. You'll need to make two promotion lists: one containing all relevant JUUL Devices and another containing all relevant JUUL Pods. When you're done making each list, select the Save Changes button.

Finally, we create a promotion for those lists, which you can do by navigating to the Mix & Match Promotion tab at the top of the page, and once there, select the New Mix & Match Promotion button. Select the relevant list to apply the promotion to and then add a breakpoint for the list by clicking the green + button. For both of these promotions, you should change the Type of Reward dropdown to be Block Sale (SuperSonic POS Only).

  • For the Device List: Set the Units to Qualify to 2. That way a customer can only purchase one device within a single transaction.

  • For the Pod List: Set the Units to Qualify to 5. That way a customer can only purchase 4 4-packs within a single transaction, limiting them to 16 packs.

Once done making these promotions, select the Save Changes button.

Congratulations, your SuperSonic POS should now be compliant with the JUUL RACS Program!
